Mbanaayili Health Center
In Tamale, Ghana, a healer in Mbanaayili treats broken bones with traditional techniques, charging patients only what they can afford. But he's facing a big problem – no water. This makes keeping things clean and running smoothly really tough.
He also needs better rooms and medical tools to help more people. That's where we step in. Our goal is to get water to the Mbanaayili Health Centre and upgrade its facilities. This will let the healer do even more for his community.

Current action: Fundraising
We are launching a fundraising initiative to connect the health center to running water, which is the highest priority for them. Currently, the facility lacks this essential resource, impacting both hygiene and operational efficiency. Your support can help us provide reliable water access, enhancing care and conditions for the Health Center.
July 20, 2025: Connection to State Water Supply
A significant milestone has been achieved: the healing center has been successfully connected to the state water supply.
To make this possible, a large water tank was installed, pipelines were laid, and both masonry and plumbing work were carried out to ensure a reliable and sustainable access to clean water.
The total cost for this essential upgrade amounted to CHF 1,380.
This progress marks another important step towards improved hygiene and a stable infrastructure for the operation of the healing center.

During our recent site visit, we carefully assessed and documented the current status of the project.
Ali, our site coordinator and the healer highlighted the immediate needs of the site, drawing attention to the essential resources and improvements required.

Up next: Upgrading the Health Center
The next step is to equip the healing center with the essentials. There is a lack of toilets for the patients, a kitchen, a treatment room, beds, aids such as crutches and wheelchairs.
